The Flush Mount window will sit flush or even with your nail/screw flange. This allows your window to sit flush against your building. Whereas a J-Channel Mount window, the glass of the window protrudes 7/8” from the nail/screw flange which gives you a “J” shaped channel meant for vinyl or metal siding, or you can place decorative trim board in the J-Channel to give your window a finished look.

Note: You still can place trim over the nail/screw flange of a Flush Mount window which gives it a recessed or casement window look. Link provided for J-Channel and Flush Mounts.

Drill a 3/8” hole not more than 1” from edge of the door if you are using the crossbar style 1 handle. OR not more than 2” from the edge of the door if you are using non cross bar style 2 handle. The mounting height should be at where you are most comfortable. Usually 36” to 48” from bottom of door but it depends on you.

Place the handle shaft through the hole to make sure it turns easily (make sure that the handle is unlocked) mark your mounting holes and drill pilot holes for the mounting screws. Reinsert the shaft through the 3/8” hole tighten down the handle with the mounting screws provided.

Attach back handle to shaft and enjoy your shed!
